Pretty in Pink

So this was the third in the trio of chairs commissioned by the customers who are running a multi-cultural outreach centre in Birmingham. When researching this project, I came across some Prestigious Textiles 'Atlas' Fabric which I suggested to the customer. The colour palette appealed to her, as did the concept of the maps - possibly offering conversation openers even? Unfortunately the Atlas fabric doesn't come in heavy-weight enough fabric for me to incorporate it into the chair back (which I originally thought would look striking) so instead I picked 3 colours from the maps to mix and match between all 3 chairs. I then made 4 scatter cushions from the Atlas fabric to pull the concept all together. Particularly pleased with the multi-coloured buttons and the blue piping, all made from leftover fabric from the blue/yellow pair.
