Measure Twice, Cut Once...

You've heard the sewing adage 'Measure twice, Cut Once'? At £39.95 a metre (!) I definitely made sure this was the case when embarking on this project with this beautiful Harris Tweed wool from www.the-millshop-online.co.uk. I made self piping for the box cushion and the fabric really handled beautifully. The customer (in this case, my husband!) was really happy with the result as it was his Nannan's chair. The Harris Tweed was much less scratchy than I'd feared and looks classy and understated. A joy to have in the lounge!
